November 2012

Please accept our apologies in the lack of attention to the website during 2012. We have had an extremely busy year and lots and lots of things going on. Thankfully all of these have been exciting and good for the club. The most important of which has been the move to our new home. We are all very excited to be in a unit that will allow us to be permnantly set up so we can focus on doing what we love, teaching gymnastics. And more importantly the children have settled very quickly, and its safe to say they are very happy with the new premises.
The move meant slight disruption during our busy competition season but our girls coped with it wonderfully, producing lots of great results and high scores. Being in this facility will hopefully mean that we can now go from strength to strength and develop our girls even further. Watch this space for more exiting news….

November 2011

This years annual club competition has had to be delayed due to unforseen circumstances. We are very sorry for any incovienience this may cause, however, we have potentially re-arranged to have it on 8 January 2012 instead and this will not effect any plans of next years.
We will keep you posted as soon as we have firmer plans in place.

October 2011

A massive well done to the Level 4 Swallows Team who competed in the Essex Team Championships on 30th October. The team consisted of Amelia Daniel, Caitlin Boyle, Paige Boyle, Ella-Mae Potter, Kelsey Moyse and Sydney Moyse as reserve. The girls had a fabulous competiton and came away with 3rd overall. On top of this Amelia also came out with the second highest beam score of the competition and 4th overall which is fantastic as well. This competition marked the end of the 2011 competition season and from all the coaches and committee at Swallows, a massive thank you goes out to all the girls for all their hardwork and commitment this year. Well done. Here’s to an exciting 2012!!

Swallows GC gained planning permission this month for its own purpose built gymnastics facility. For over 20 years we have been trying to find a suitable premises or land area in order to gain this permission and we have finally found it. This is agreat step for us and we are looking forward to a brighter and bigger future, hopefully starting in 2012. A big thank you to Lee Daniel and his team of experts for all their hard work.

Congratulations to Caitlin Boyle who competed in her first ever regional final this month. Caitlin had a superb competition to see her finish in 4th overall ahead of the other Essex qualifiers. Well done Caitlin we are all very pleased with your results.

September 2011
